This year's International Women's Day marked the second annual Viva La Muxer event, a celebration of women and benefit for Las Fotos Project. The event featured an all female line-up of visual artists, musicians, and spoken word performers. Shakti Circus rocked the event with roaming stilt walkers, who got the crowd dancing to the musical stylings of Gingee.
The Ultimate Tae Kwon Do Fighters Academy pulled out all the stops for their circus themed holiday event. They wanted to put on the biggest event in El Monte to show appreciation for their hard working students. The friends and residents of Broadview Residential Care Center were elated to visit with our Christmas stilt walker this holiday season. The 9 foot tall model posed for photos and handed out holiday candies, much to the delight of the residents. It's safe to say they brought us as much cheer as we brought them, and we can't wait to join them for more fun soon!
The Shakti stilt walkers were thrilled to celebrate Halloween with La Cañada Elementary for the second year in a row. This year they delighted guests as colorful fantastical creatures, standing up to 9+ feet tall!
![]() Shakti Circus brought the circus to the Museum of Latin American Art this March for Viva La Muxer, a benefit for Las Fotos Project. Stilt walkers danced, roamed the crowd, and posed for photos with excited party goers at this all female art and music festival. Guests also enjoyed a Shakti hula hoop act between musical sets by Maluca and Go Betty Go. Event sponsors include RedBull, Ford, and Fox Entertainment, with media partners LA Weekly and Telemundo 52.
